On the back of a dominant Champions League display against Apoel, Real Madrid face a tough test on the weekend, with Real Sociedad the only side to have kept pace with Barcelona so far.

It’s too early to consider Real Sociedad real title contenders, but as things stand they are the ‘form team’ going into this game after Real Madrid failed to record a win in either of their first two home games of the season. Cristiano Ronaldo’s absence will be undoubtedly missed, but the quality in the Real Madrid squad should get them through these games nonetheless.
